The Wife is a 2026 Sri Lankan Sinhala gangster film directed by Shameera Rangana Naotunna and produced by Waruna Arambage. The film stars Hemal Ranasinghe and Udari Warnakulasooriya in lead roles along with Veena Jayakody, Lakshman Mendis, Nethalie Nanayakkara and Priyantha Seneviratne in supportive roles. Hemal and Udari share the screen for the fourth time after Adaraneeya Kathawak (2016), Ksheera Sagaraya Kalabina (2023) and Devi Kusumasana (2025).

Plot

The film focuses on the turbulent life of a struggling filmmaker and his wife. Their marriage is pushed to the brink of collapse as hidden, dark truths begin to surface, challenging the wife's quiet endurance. The plot explores themes of ambition, sacrifice, and the impact of these dark secrets on their relationship.
